Local search is changing as we speak.
With user interfaces continuing to evolve from keyboards to microphones, natural language recognition and processing will allow consumer search to become more and more conversational. In addition, artificial intelligence and data mining is improving, and you’re now able to specifically search for products and services offered by local businesses. This combination of technology is what Soleo is all about, and what allows us to decipher billions of catchphrases from consumers as they search for what they need.
The result? More useful connections than ever before.
In order to achieve a best match result, we curate a database of over 16 million local business and community listings across the United States. This database is constantly be refreshed as new merchants enter the market, others change their offerings, and still others exit from their communities.
Accessing Soleo Local Search
Our local search API is offered to partners programmatically through a RESTful interface. Designed to accept searches sent to us by a variety of consumer-facing applications, our system determines intent and returns relevant, local listings based on each unique search.
For example, a homeowner performs a search by stating, “I need my lawn mowed and hedges trimmed.” In return, they’ll get listings for landscapers, mowing services, and local hardware stores in their area.
The local search API from Soleo can be white-labeled, allowing your brand to maintain its identity as your business develops natural language search applications.
